What is an agile learning coach?

What distinguishes agile learning from traditional learning? How does an agile learning coach actively support digitalization? We have summarized all the important information for you here:

Agiles Lernen vs. klassisches Lernen

01 Agile learning vs. traditional learning

Classical learning is structured and static.
It follows a fixed curriculum with clear steps.
Teaching content and methods are defined in advance and remain constant over long periods of time.
Agile learning, on the other hand, is flexible and adapts to changing needs and requirements.

Agiles Coaching vs. agiles Lerncoaching

02 Agile coaching vs. agile learning coaching

As an agile coach, you concentrate on optimizing agile work processes, team dynamics and the application of agile principles in project management.
You therefore focus on processes.
You also tend to work in a method-oriented way and use agile methods and tools such as Scrum, Kanban or Lean to support teams in the implementation of their tasks and projects.
As an agile learning coach, you focus on the personal and collective development of learners, support the development of learning strategies, reflect on learning successes and promote continuous learning.
In other words, you focus on the learners themselves.
To this end, you will draw on pedagogical, psychological and agile approaches to support learners in developing self-organization, problem-solving skills and motivation to learn.

Agilität für die digitale Transformation

03 Agility for the digital transformation

As an agile learning coach, you support your company's digitalization process.
You help individuals and teams in companies to adapt to change.
You also support them in reacting flexibly to new technologies, working methods and processes by helping them to acquire the right skills in a very short space of time.

FAQs

If you follow the training path to become an agile learning coach, you will acquire in-depth knowledge in the areas of learning theory and pedagogy, coaching and learning support as well as agility. You can apply what you have learned in practical exercises and exchange ideas with other participants in our community of practice. As an agile learning coach, you will become a key figure in an agile learning culture.

Learning coaching offers learners individual support aimed at achieving their learning goals and developing effective learning strategies. Together, you define learning goals and regularly check whether these have been achieved. As a learning coach, you teach effective learning strategies and techniques to optimize learning and improve performance. Learning coaching is therefore primarily about developing skills in areas such as self-motivation, concentration and time management.

The agile learning approach places the learner at the center. Self-responsibility and self-organization are a top priority. This also means that learners choose their own learning objectives, materials, formats and settings. Learning is therefore individualized, needs-oriented and practical. Personal and individual support from an agile learning coach is also a key element. Other important components of the agile learning approach are collaborative and cooperative learning units and the division of the learning process into manageable, iterative phases. Continuous feedback and evaluations ensure rapid adaptability.

You will receive good training from qualified trainers who are successful and experienced learning coaches themselves, and our experts can pass on their specialist knowledge, practical experience and insights into the agile learning coaching field and provide you with valuable insights and skills as a prospective agile learning coach. Feedback from participants shows us that the training really does offer added value and successfully prepares graduates for their agile learning coaching role.

“In my view, QualityLearning is the personnel development of tomorrow – away from rigid measures and frameworks and towards a truly individualized approach in which – not just on paper – the learner is the focus of the learning process.
It offers organizations and individuals an effective opportunity to get fit for the future and to think about lifelong learning in concrete terms and away from buzzwords.”

Anja Papst

“The training to become an agile learning coach gave me a lot of technical and methodological input, I was able to immerse myself in the various levels of agile learning, gain real-life experience and take away so much more.
Especially in the training and learning environment, with my goal of breaking new and modern ground, the training to become an agile learning coach is an absolute enrichment.”

Olaf Beyer

Head of Procurement & Purchasing Service and Training Manager, censhare GmbH

“In my opinion, the role of an agile learning coach perfectly captures the zeitgeist of agility and meets the needs of companies and employees for support in the course of digital transformation and the introduction of agile processes.
My role as a learning and business coach at Randstad does not focus exclusively on increasing the learning success of my colleagues, but rather encompasses all areas of a fulfilled employee life, for example by improving the overall satisfaction and sovereignty of employees through a higher experience of self-efficacy.”

Astrid Römer

Senior Consultant (Operational Personnel Services and Consulting), Business Coach (Personnel Development), Randstad Deutschland GmbH & Co.KG

“The training as a learning coach gave me a lot of technical and methodological input that I was able to implement immediately in my day-to-day work.
It also enabled me to build up a clear mindset within which conceptual work can be developed in a targeted manner.
As QualityMinds lives and breathes learning coaching and agile learning, this created a high level of authenticity in all phases and areas of the training.”

Christine Stanek

Head of Training, OPED GmbH

“I have the feeling that my training as an agile learning coach is moving personnel development forward.
The new, agile mindset of learning turns away from the learning experience from school, training and studies and supports the individual development of learners.
As an agile learning coach, I am a reliable learning companion, facilitator, reminder, motivator, source of inspiration, professional curator, networker, feedback provider and reflection partner at eye level.
In the agile learning coach training itself, learning already takes place in an agile learning setting – independently and self-directed on a learning platform, among other things.
The platform offers the opportunity to independently determine what is learned, when, by when and in what order.”
