A major project in the public sector

As part of the overall NOW program in the public sector, a large overarching and integrative platform has been developed that bundles various functions and information on continuing vocational training in Germany. This platform brings together education providers and other partners, creating an online ecosystem. This gives education participants broader access to information and services.

The platform links information services, web information and continuing education offers from public and semi-public content partners. The aim is to create low-threshold digital access to the complex system of continuing vocational education and training. In order to develop the new platform as efficiently as possible, existing IT solutions, platforms and services will be integrated wherever possible for reasons of synergy.

Comprehensive development of the platform in all areas

With two teams, the technical management team and a cross-functional development team with responsibility for sub-areas, QualityMinds is helping to successfully implement the multi-year project.

The solution:

Implementation with agile project methods

The QualityMinds team consists of product owners, scrum masters, front-end and back-end developers, DevOps specialists and testers, and is responsible for the overarching project areas for specialist services, basic services and CMS. The operational project phase is planned until the end of 2026.

The creation of a highly available online portal with comprehensive platform functionalities.

Services are implemented for the online portal, including the development of search and display functions, the connection of BA products and content as well as external services and interfaces, connection to the BA’s IAM system, registered areas for employees and companies, comprehensive platform functionalities such as notifications and the development of the platform design system and the content management system. In addition, QualityMinds also provides significant support to the Technical Management team in the coordination and implementation of cross-sectional tasks relating to technical architecture, interface management, IT security and test management.
