Negative Feedback

Give negative feedback skilfully

In theory, we all know how important it is to receive and to give feedback – especially when something needs to be improved. Personal development, upgrading of projects and further development of products mainly work in connection with direct and targeted feedback.

In practice, however, we are reluctant to accept negative feedback. Who likes to be told that not everything is going so well? If negative feedback is not appreciative, it can come across as a slap in the face and lead to insults, loss of motivation and defensive reactions. Moreover, we find it just as uncomfortable to give negative feedback. After all, who would want to impose on others what they do not like to receive themselves? Negative feedback is therefore often avoided because the necessary knowledge and practice are missing. But in reality, feedback can be a real gift – for both sides.

We are asked two questions over and over again: can negative feedback be structured and prepared? Are there any other methods than the feedback sandwich? We answer both questions with yes! We will show you exactly how this works in our workshop on giving (negative) feedback. We talk to you about the spontaneous giving of feedback and the long-term planned feedback. We consider the theoretical background. Using exercises, we will show you how you can prepare your feedback in a well-structured manner and what positive influence this has on psychological security.

What other participants say about our workshops:

Steffi Michailowa

“What I like about the offers from QualityMinds is that through their concept, they manage to convey quite a new ‘worldview’. Understanding the idea is the key to respective approach and on this basis they develop the appropriate mindset. As a result, you don’t need rigid procedures or transformation projects for implementation in your own company – just use a little creativity and you will see that even small changes can have a big impact.”

“As I see it, QualityLearning represents the development of tomorrow’s personnel – away from rigid measures and frameworks, towards a really individualized approach in which the learner is indeed in the focus of the learning process. It offers organizations and individuals an effective opportunity to get fit for the future and to think about ‘lifelong learning’ in concrete terms and away from buzzwords.”
